Welcome to Saunders Family Library!

Collegiate Libraries
Collegiate School is home to a robust library program and includes three divisional libraries which serve the Lower (Mary Morris Watt Library), Middle (Reed-Gumenick Library), and Upper (Saunders Family Library) Schools and the broader Collegiate community. Collegiate libraries are information hubs and collaborative spaces and play an important role in shaping the intellectual life of the school.
Our Mission
The mission of Collegiate libraries is to instill in students the pleasure of reading and the enjoyment of seeking information, while supporting the school’s greater mission to create a diverse and inclusive community of learners committed to a challenging and supportive educational experience that will foster the intellectual, moral, emotional and physical development of each student.
Saunders Family Library
Saunders Family Library is located on the north side of campus in the Sharp Academic Commons just next door to the Estes Cafe. In addition to low-profile (and mobile) bookshelves, our open library space features comfortable and cozy lounge spaces, flexible (and mobile) tables and chairs, and serious library tables for serious library business. Along the perimeter of the library space you’ll find Academic Services, our Upper School Counselors, Student Actives, Powell Institute for Responsible Citizenship, and plenty of (high-tech) learning spaces.
