We made things at the “Make Something” workshop

The felt and craft fur flew at our first “Make Something” workshop.

Phil Barbato, Richmond artist, lead workshop participants through the steps for creating their own plush creature.

For two hours our “Make Something” students drew their own patterns, transferred patterns to 9×12 felt squares, cut out patterns, and then sewed, stuffed, and adorned their creatures with button eyes, moustaches, and even some hand knitted accessories.

It proved to be a fun evening fueled by candy, laughs, and creativity.  We’re looking forward to hosting more “Make Something” workshops in the very near future.  Stay tuned!  Until then, enjoy a few more pictures:
